kompact tractors??

The Mahindra post got me wondering..

If you had an 8N size tractor with a frt loader (my little tractor is about that size) and 24 HP 3 zyl diesel and weighs about 1.5 ton, What compact tractor would compare as far as strength and towing capacity??? My main concern is to pull a water trailer of max 2 ton. Any ideas?

How about an 800 series with 5 spd transmision ? One with an Elenco conversion would be even better . I've always wanted one myself . But my wallet has never been thick enough to pay the cost . HTH! God bless

a utility size tractor would work fine. 45-55 hp.

4000 lb trailer, how fast do you need to go? I have steep hills so I
tend to keep my wagons no heavier than the tractor. My Kubota
compact is about 6500 lbs due to loaded rears and loader on it.

I agree, Ken. I worry more about stopping a load than getting it started.
