I just installed a wifi router to make life around the house go easyer. No more draging a "leash" when I wanted to be on the internet. the only concern: How do I keep my old order Amish neighbors from Hi jacking my signal??

you mean the one with the gps system on his horse? or the other one with the 20" chrome spinners on his buggy

That is what could be considered a DUMB A** or SMART A** question you pick but the answer might get technical. LOL

There are security options built into the router. Call a neighbor kid you trust to go run Netstumbler and get on your network. If he can, then have him fix your network. If he won't, then get a different router.

Read the manual section on blocking addresses. The mac address should be on a sticker on your network card.
