2,4-D and crop oil question - Kerosene?

Been spraying 2,4-D on hay and now stepped up to Pasture Pro. I"ve read that you can mix oil in to this to help stick it to the weeds better. It also says fuel oil or kerosene can be use up to 1 gal per acre as the oil. Anyone ever do this? What is the amount of crop oil normally?
How does oil and water mix?
I would think that"s not good at that rate but lets here about it.

I would think the kerosene wouldn't be good for your grass.i use dish soap in my spray to help it stick,it wont hurt grass.might be a good idea to use kerosene with round-up or brush killer though, back in the old days when you could actually kill something lots of the good vegetation killers were oil based types i believe.

Crop oil usually contains an emulsifier to make the oil and water mix. Certain herbicides like Triclopyr 4 (remedy) are formulated with kerosene as a carrier and also an emulsifier..

I've used a foliage fertilizer when spraying 2,4-D to control weeds in a turf application it help the grass and make the spray stick better to the weeds.

They make a special oil for this get it at your dealer. It will mix good with the water and not hurt the hay. Doesn't cost much and goes along way. there are several brands and types ASK the dealer what's best for you.

I looked for crop oil and couldn't find it so using something else or something cheaper would be nice. Mineral oil is mentiond also but I don't think it would mix - maybe?

Hope you don't have to much agitation or the lid may fly off the tank with foam.

There are wetting agents that do not foam and may be cheaper than dish soap.

Check with your local chemical supplier.

Replies are good but here is the thing- Where I live there isn't a local chem. dealer and I go to the next town to buy from Tractor Supply. They don't have crop oil. Is there a place online to buy it?
I have been looking but no luck so far!
Other than dish soap what could be used that is cheap?
