White 2-135 tractor

How were these tractors? Did White make the transmission and how was the engine for power? If anyone has any stories about White tractors I would like to here them, they seem like a nice tractor.

2-135 is a great tractor for the amount of $ you need to get one. Rearends/trans are bulletproof and it has a good lugging engine with the Hercules. Not the fanciest tractor as far as cosmetics and amenities/cab features-but if you are looking for cheap horsepower I wouldn"t bat an eye.

I have 2 White 135's and I bought them in the
80's. They have worked out well. The only
thing I have had to do to one of them is
put a clutch in. Parts new and used are
readily available. The only complaint I
would have is that White's paint job could
have been better. Both tractors have over
5000 hours on them.
