Got my Beans Sprayed

The wind finally died down for a while and it was dry enough to drive on the field, so I got my beans sprayed with Roundup this morning. Had to go around a couple of places until the tank was almost empty , and then went back and sprayed around closer to them. Now to get the NH3 applicator ready and get it dried some more so I can sidedress the corn. Still kinda wet, in places the ribs on the front tires filled up with mud and looked like racing slicks, but I didn't get stuck or cut any ruts. Chris

Very interesting. Not real pleased about monsanto's genetic engineering to make their rr seed sterile. Not a good idea in the long run.

Round up seed is not sterile. It will germinate like any other seed, but it is licensed to the user with the agreement that it will not be planted or sold to another person to be planted. It only contains a gene to make it resistant to Roundup herbicide. Hope this clears up the misunderstanding. Joe

Yeah, I'm not real pleased with anything Monsanto does. They control the vast majority of seed sold in the world and more every day. I'm heirloom, organic all the way.
