It appears that the engine has locked up in my 250AS. When I checked the oil it looks like fuel is now in the oil resevoir and has caused the engine to lock up. Any idea on how it got there and the best way to take care of this issue?? Thanks

You will have to remove the oil pan and see what the bearing on the the crank look like. If they are bad the crank maybe cracked. How did fuel get in oil? You may have to get another engine.

Not sure how fuel got in the oil. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas. Can it happen through a cracked head or the fuel injection system?

I forget how the pump is set up on those things, but the usual method for getting fuel in the oil is through the pump.... or if it's like the Deutz air cooled engines that they no doubt copied, it could have a cracked manifold on one of the pumping elements.
Honestly, I'd suggest you stand back and take a breather from this... and put some space between you and the ruski. That should make it easier to send it to the scrap yard or fulfill it's duty as a boat anchor somewhere.

I'm sure you could buy a decent western designed tractor with more functinality than that one for probably less money than it will cost to rebuild that engine. I'd ponder that over before I got too determined to save this one.
