Ford 5000 super major-can't pinpoint year model

I was recently given a 5000 super major that had sat in a field for 3 years. got it running, now looking to put it back to specs after 40+ years of "coathanger" repairs. trying to figure out year it was made, can't find a s/n tag. may have been one on the hyd.lift cover, on rear, between pto shaft and seat...If so, it's gone now.I know it's between 61-64, but most sites say they have gray wheels/fenders.Mine has a blue hood w/"5000" decals, white wheels & fenders, blue body, "ENFO" cast into all cast parts,"Fordson Super Major" chrome medallion on front, and external headlamps on each side of the radiator, about 1/2way up (not high up on the front cap like some photos I've seen). Saw a pic of one similar to mine that said it was a 62, but the lites were in the grille, not external like mine. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Scott,
The serial number should be stamped on a flat pad on the engine block just below the first injector. There are casting codes in several places on the tractor that can help date it. One is behind the generator on the left front side of the block.

My 62 has the headlights in the position you describe. " ENFO " is English Ford so may be imported prior to 5000 production is USA, always a chance I may be wrong.Have a look on the pad and someone can help identify year.

Ford did some seemingly stupid things in those days with model numbers and monikers. One of which was calling the last of the Major's a "5000" and the first of the 5000's "Major".
Without seeing a picture, I'd say sit in the seat and look down at the starter. Is it on the left side or right side?
If it's on the left, it's a Major. If it's on the right, it's a 5000.
If it is a Major, go to the Fordson board. You'll probably find more people there that can help you. If it's a 5000, ask away...

Thanks...
What color are your fenders and wheels? My fenders are gone, and if the wheels aren't white, they are very light gray. I'd say white...

Thanks tiresntracks,
I saw the flat pad under the #1 injector, and I sanded it a bit... There is no # stamped on it. However, behind the generator is cast "N2X" Thanks for your help.
