I am picking up a tractor in Baton Rouge and heading to San Antonio. What is the easiest and best way to get around Houston? I was looking at the map and thought staying on 90 till I hit 1690 and taking it around till I picked up I-10 was about the easiest way to avoid traffic. Any suggestions that might be better? Thanks.

I think you meant 90 to 1960 thats one way. depending on the time of day you can follow 10 to beltway 8 and loop sround thats the way i hauled a tractor from beaumont to west columbia and used the beltway iwen south but you would probably be better off using the north loop this is a tool road i understand they have increased the tolls recently

No way to miss traffic in Houston. Take I-10 to beltway(toll road) take it north and loop around Houston. You will pick up I-10 again on the west side of Houston. Traffic is lighter on the beltway than I-10 thru town.
