Can"t get the canister filter off a "68 ford 2000 with a front end loader. There doesn"t appear to be enough room. Any tricks to doing this ?

thanks for your help.

no good tricks with the loader still on, if you get it off check into a remote spin on filter mount for it while you have it apart, so it will be easier next time

That's what I thought :) Any tricks to removing the loader part way and movin something with a farm jack ? I hate to take the whole loader off to just change the oil filter :(

i'd have to see a pic and see just which loader it has mounted, the 2000 i had you could unfasten the 2 rear arms that go to the rear axle then get a small bottle jack that will work laying on its side and wedge it in between the tranny housing and loader frame and get a inch or so, but thats about all, after that carquest got us a remote filter kit that once installed it used a common old ford filter which pointed straight down, it was still kind of tight, but it was at least doable, i dont have that unit anymore or id go look at it some more for you
