What would be the max number of plants to a hill if the plants will be watered. My brother is trying some this year to sell. When I dry farmed my melons I would only leave two plants. they seamed to do good. Stan

I think the plants will sort of compensate in whatever way to fill every available space with leaves. Two would be good. We used to plant 5 or 6 and leave whatever came up. If they all did we may cull them back to 3 or 4.

The watermelon is the new national fruit.
