Tractors among women

My wife prefers a Massey Harris 333. She learned how to bale driving one when she was young(er). When she went thru her middle age crazies she had to have one.

Not so much the size, but where it is that matters. My wife's favorite is always the one that's on the buyer's trailer leaving the yard......

I have been divorced twice, and it seems that color, brand, condition, or model makes no differance--they want all them.

I tried for years to get them interested, and it must have worked.

I just ask my wife & she said the one with the big muffler that goes WAAH WAAH WAAH. Actually it is any Case Black Knight.

My wife likes any tractor that make me stop saying I need another tractor. My future sister i law loves John Deere's 20 series. My wife really likes purple and ever since I showed her a pic of that oliver 1750 painted purple in a demo advertisement, she thinks mine should be purple.

Mostly the gal, herself.

A neighbor kid married a city gal he met in college. I don't think she'd spent an hour on a farm in her life until they met. Now she'll wheel a 4800 series John Deere and 28' disc around with the best of them.

They want something reliable that they can jump on, start and drive without a fight or mess.
Power Steering and hydrostatic drive with good brakes. A rops with sun/rain guard will make you nearly a hero. 4WD keeps them from getting stuck as much.

My wife and best friend since the 3rd grade seems to look long and hard at the ones that are in their "right off the farm" clothes. But I do notice that every time the W-4 is out of the garage she is either driving it or sitting on the fender with a pleased smile on her face. W4

NONE !!!...My wife is scared to death of the JD lawn Mower . I DID get her on the YAN-murray loader tractor to drive beside me as
I pull electric fence posts and toss them in the bucket ... And she has drove the 430 Case between lines of bales as we picked them up ,, I tease Her and tell Her I did that When I was 4-5 yrs old . Hard too imagine What she would be like on the 800 case-o-matic ,,,. my daughters have Baled hay for me with the Live power SC ,DC, and 4020.. ... Growing Up at home I had 3 out of 5 sisters that were Durn good at running a tractor without wrapping themselves up in the equipment ,, still Remember Dad sayin', well boys, your gonna lose another good tractor/operator to Wedding Bells....

My wife likes the 2005 JD 4010 (18.5 HP compact utility -Yanmar in JD Green) that I bought her for her birthday (also got her a chain saw- she loved both presents). Hydrostatic, loader, etc. We may reminisce about our childhood, baling with an H, that ole Oliver 88 diesel bellowing into the night, etc.- but she wasn't doing that in those days, and just wants something that she can start and operate. If you're smart, you'll get her one- she can load the manure spreader, then hook it up and spread- and repeat. Something she couldn't do with any of my old relics, because she couldn't start them, and if she did, the Armstrong power steering wore her out after two loads.

Wife loved her dad's Farmall BN, unfortunately destroyed in barn fire years ago. Hated her uncle's JD B - which son has restored, and we still have. Use it for some haying operations. Apparently she used it as a girl, dragging, etc, and hated the job, dirt flying, etc.

My wife won't even drive my pickup because it has a manual transmission. I've long since given up on the idea of her running a tractor.

a female friend of mine likes to go pulling with "her" IH 1066. I offered her my Farmall MD or my H and she is scared of the narrow front and smaller tractor. She picks on me for my "little" tractors and how maybe one day I can grow up to drive a "real" tractor.

Got a new girlfriend and asked her if she could drive a tractor. She grew up country but never did drive one. I asked if she wanted to she said no, but I will keep working on getting her up on the seat. Redhead on a red H tractor! Wow!
