ok we have a search going on here and im at a dead end in the movie 'forever young" staring a mint condition b-25 mitchell bomber, oh yeah and mell gibson, does anybody know who owns the b-25 or where it is located ect?

thanks rimshot, do you know if the muesum is open to the public? i like to check that one out and im sure they have other planes worth seeing too

You can google the museum for all kinds of info. There is one in Valle, Ariz. too. Yes open to the public and there is an air show---or was in May. Google "Planes of Fame" to read all about it. Never been there but sure would like to go sometime. Rode in a P-51 down in Mesa Ariz. a few years ago though.

I spent a few hours flying in a fully restored B-25 a couple of years ago. We flew out of Stockton , Ca to a small airport in Nv. We grouped with two other B-25's and a P-51 and performed an airshow for a group of retired Vet's from the 500th Air Apache (I think) group that supported efforts in Italy. They were on a paddle boat in the middle of Lake Tahoe and they did not know about the show. It was awesome!
The B-25 is : Old Glory

eric, All, As always the CAF...That is the old Confederate Air Force now called the Commerative Air Force @ Midland Texas they have quite a few on there roster. All are scattered out with various CAF groups here in the US.
Call Midland and visit with them, I will bet they had first shot at supplying the planes for that movie but had scheduling issues. Anyway, whenever things like that happen the entire industry knows who got the nod, a probably what was paid to the owner for the use of it. Hope this helps!
Later.
