What's the ditty?

There is a poem telling why four kernels of corn were dropped in each hill when you check rowed corn. The last two lines are

one for the crow,
and one to grow.

What are the first two lines?

I found those, but the one I remember had a line something like:
One for the owner,
or
one for the tenant,
or
one for the master.

I was surprised - but shouldn't have been - that there are several varieties of this saying.

From the poem "Planter's Charm"
Author unknown

One for the buzzard,
one for the crow,
one to rot,
and one to grow.

Paul

I'd have to go with the mouse, rather than the buzzard- never saw a corn seed get rank enough to interest a self-respecting buzzard. . .
