NW Wisconsin is really dry, we've had an inch of rain in the last 2 month's all the guys's south of us have to much it seems , send some up north, thanks

Guys, We still need large amount of beneficial rain, Here in Central Texas also. Not the D-FW area. What little showers we have received are long gone and did little to relive the drought.

We've been very dry here in Michigans 'thumb' now for several weeks. I planted some flowers yesterday and had to use a pick axe to dig. Woke up this morning and it looks like it rained overnight, we really needed it!

I am with ya man, tried to plow my sweetcorn patch on monday, it was dry as a bone 8 inches down and the dust just rolled off the plow. In the gravel areas the plow just skipped along, I have never seen the lakes and rivers so low.

Wish I knew how
We have had 5.25 in. since the 15th got 1.29 yesterday in about 2 hours in beat everything up
Plus we had 12.o1 in. in April
I have had to replant the sweet corn once all ready and I have beans that I think have drawn in the last day or so we will see
Luck to all you

Same here, rain was forecasted for 2-3 days the latter part of this past weekend and recieved a "mist" for about 1/2 hour yesterday. I still have fairly moist soil below the top 2", but that and the cool weather isnt really making my corn grow any height. Glad I took the insurance an opted to spread fertilizer later rather than preplanting. I didnt fertlilize my rye due to the lack of rain, I figured why waste the fertilizer when the rye is already heading out and it would not have even been able to be rained in, the top of the soil hasnt even been moist enough to absord anything. Rye prices are down and rent is only $10 acre so I figured I get what I get. Corn, well , I think I will be holding off contracting anything until we get some substantial rainfall. I will say since I was doing 3 variety trials for drought and stress tolerance, couldnt ask for better testing conditions!

You got that right. DFW area and n. e. Tx don"t need anymore.

I frequently go to Cass County Park and trail ride. Headed that way Monday. The entire park was under water. Lake Wright Pattman is 22 ft. above normal.

We had a hard rain last night in Dallas. Power went out at the house between 2:00 am and 3:00 am and is still out.

Can we save some of this for July and August?

NE Ohio in the same boat!
They (weathermen) keep pushing our scattered and isolated thundershowers back day by day

Sunny and high clouds now, with hopeful rain knocked down to 1/4" from 1/2" since last night

We had a good rain last night and it rained a bit this morning. Got my garden almost all planted just in time. Corn in my foodplot is up about 4-6 inches and the cowpeas are getting just about right for the deer to mow off. Foodplots are for birds, not deer. Morerain predicted for tomorrow and Friday.

Here in Madison county IL we don't need no more.Eastern and central part have had 9 inches in 2 days.Over here on the west side about 3.The weather man says it should be gone tomorrow.Hope hes right as I need to put hay on the ground.Ain't been all bad sense I got 2 rain out days off work to get some shop work caught up

You getting any of the rain we're getting here in NE Wisconsin? In the last 2 days we've had close to 2" of rain, slow and steady so it soaked in good too.

Parts of NW WI got just a trace today and darned near nothing else for a long time.
Well that measure ground water are trending toward the levels of 87/88 and 76/77.
We have been watering the gardens and the young trees almost daily.

What a difference a couple miles can do! For us it was hard to get the feilds prepped and seed in between the rain, espescially the wetter ones. Lots of ground around here has been worked wetter than is ideal.
