i have been advised that a factory loader off an 861 will fit up to a ford 5000. can any of you rightious people verfy this? many thanks

Very unlikely. A 5000 is a lot bigger than an 861, and has a completly different front end. If it fits the 861, it should fit the Jubilee/NAA through the 4-cylinder 4000, and MAYBE the 3-cylinder 2/3000.

With a cutting torch and welder at hand anything will fit. Otherwise, your advisor is erroneous.
