First year's planting just about done

Howdy folks,

Well, we"ve got our new farm about 99% done as of Saturday. It is a relief and a blessing. I worked till about 10:30 Saturday to do the beans. We got about 10 acres planted Thursday evening. I had the 720 out spreadin fertilizer on the bean ground, my fiance was drilling beans, and her dad was planting the last of the corn. Friday we finished the field that my fiance was workin on and then started a little field in front of the house. Saturday I got started early and did the rest of the beans. Only had a couple hiccups in an old hayfield that we decided to burn down and put beans in. Made two good rounds on it and then found a good wet spot. Got "er hung up pretty good. Tried to dig it out and pull her with the 720 but didn"t work too good. Finally got her dad and a longer chain where the 720 could get some good ground to dig. We got it out and I finished most of the field before heading in. Sure felt it on Sunday though. Didn"t get the roundup washed off me quick enough I guess. Wasn"t real sick but it sure took the energy out of me. Slept from lunch till supper and could have slept longer. Still feelin it today. All in all it"s been a great spring, despite gettin a late start. I am also extremely blessed to have a wonderful future father-in-law who helps us out. Couldn"t have done it without him. Hope everyone else"s Spring is going great. God bless.
