Removing junk tires.

I have a 1930 wood wheel wagon that was cut down in 1950 and 16 inch rims and car tires put on it. My problem, what is a good way to cut the old rotten tires off of the rims? Don't need to attempt to save either the tires or the rims. THANKS.

burn them. better yet, why not just bury them or toss them into the woods?

save the earth use them as yard art ( paint them and lean them aginst a old shed or tree, plant a flower or bush in them,scrap them,but don't throw them in the woods.

Cut thru the tire with one cut from bead to bead, as long as you don't have to save the rim, cut partly thru the rim as well until you get the bead wires cut, the tire will almost jump off the rim. The gas chopsaw is the ticket but a Heavy duty Sawzall will work as well. I had to do this last spring to 21 truck tires including some 12 ply Army ones, it made an impossible job almost easy.
