Some guy on craigslist in my city selling this carburetor. I think it's interesting, but I know nothing about it. Is fish a brand name? What application would this have been used for?
Thanks guys.

I think it's one of the answers to our energy problems. Add one-a-these carbuetors, a magnet to a generator and maybe a fifth-wheel alternator and your vehicle will actually 'make' gasoline.

Fish is a brand name. I've heard of "old school" hotrodders using them on inline 6's. Some claim they give more power, some just seem to like having a conversation piece. Nobody on the hot rod message boards seems to complain about the way they run, so it's probably a usable unit. Don't know if it's worth $275, since I've never been looking for one, and don't know what the going price is.

Been around for years. Supposed to get better gas milage. As I recall, they did get better milage but also reduced power. Idea was to put more air in the mix.

It's an aftermarket carb. Very simple. 17 parts & only 3 parts move. I believe Ford tested it ( got better milage than their own at the time) but didn't use it. It has no choke, but has a type of accelerator pump built in to the design of the throttle shaft. You pump the gas pedel to start it cold. The throttle shaft is at the top where the choke would normally be. It is a mechanics carb. The air and or gas can be adjusted. It was popular in the 50's at Datonna.
