I am thinking that those stub axels are from a John Deere mounted rotary hoe. I think they mounted on the gauage wheel frame for use in the field and then pull the pins and put them in a different frame for transport. In any event they are usefull. By the way that fresh painted M had a nice shine when I came past the body shop about noon today!! Armand

my first guess would be for a brillion grass seeder, tow type. to lift, you drive one side at a time up on a 6X6, slip the stub shaft (with wheel) into a hole in the casting, and secure with a bolt.

yup, im just about done with the m. got the cast rears mounted yesterday, then mounted the rims and finally the tires. did a little wiring today and finally fired her up and pulled her out of the shop. still have to paint the wheel weights and fenders, get the wiring harness all buttoned up, and she'll be heading down the road!!! i'll post some pics tomorrow.

By the color, a Brillion would be my first guess as well... not that it really matters. A lot of impliments could use a stub axle like that. Disc's are another thing that comes to mind.
