OT Kruse auction for tractors

Beware if you consign anything. Artical in local paper recently about Kruse not paying folks that had consigned their classic cars to his auctions. (The Star newpaper, Auburn, IN)

Here is the link. Apparently his auction site is under foreclosure, and there are several people sueing him for not paying out after the sale.

This is just me, but I refuse to go to anyones auction that I have to pay an admittance fee to be able to buy something I also do not agree with the buyers premium they charge. The more we go to these auctions the more we show others that it is ok to charge these fees and soon we will be paying to go to any auction. Just a bunch of crap if you ask me.

Just my opinion but it wasn't worth $10 the first time around. Certainly not worth $10 second time around. And personally I would be leery of Kruse, what with all the legal trouble surrounding them.

I have a real hard time going to a sale that charges a buyer's premium, I sure ain't going to one with a cover charge! If I am going to pay $10 to get in some where it better have cheap drinks, a live band, and eye candy wall to wall.

No its not the first, Kruse held an auction in Bridgeport, Nebraska in April of last year. I thought the auction was handled very well, it had the buyers premium as well. I purchased 3 tractors and even with the buyers cost still came out in good shape. In fact looking back now there were alot of other tractors I should have bought, but its not fun hauling stuff a thousand miles back home. I would deffinately go to another one.
