OT charolais cattle values

I was wondering if any farmers could let me know what I can charge for the following:

5 registered Charlais cattle 7 years old. Produced good calves in the past. Need to be bred. Located in Southern Indiana. What are each of them worth? thanks

I do not know what the registered market is doing right now, but I do have a buddy who has a registered herd of charlais here in north west KY. If you are close to the Evansville side of southern IN he might want'm. Send me an email and I will pass it on to him if he's interested.

Good luck.

Considering them open plus being mature 7 year olds they will bring from .48 to .54 a pound therefore if they weigh 1400lb. $700 would be close.

Around here they're going for hamburger... Hamburger cows, if they're good, right now might bring 200 bucks. They also might not pay their trucking...

Recovered? It's getting worse if anything...
We're about at the point with cull dairy cows that we just shoot them.
There's a need for a lot more cows to get gone before things start to turn around here I'm afraid.

Sure you wouldn't rather ship them to Hoard's instead? ;-) Got a Holstein bull there now, he took one too many runs at me.
