Thanks Ben

The correct mix is 50:1
You can go to the Stihl web site and get literature for your saw.
Stihl is the only saws I use and I think Stihl
two cycle is the best to use.
I've got a 066, 2 MS460's and 3 MS200T's
great saws in my opinion.

Go to a Stihl dealer- little plastic bottles of 2 cycle oil come in a "6 pack", just mix one with a gallon of gas. Couldn't be easier.

50:1, and drop the coin for the stihl oil.
We used cheap oil at 25:1 for years and years because it 'always worked before'... and had endless trouble with carb's. Haven't touched one since we switched.

It has more to do with the Quality and grade of oil than the kind of saw. Basicly use a 50/1 mix. in all small 2cycle engines. Check and see if the oil contains fuel stabilizer. It will save you a lot of headaches. Don't run oil without fuel stabalizer. It is important to use high test fuel also. Regular gas will cause pre-ignition although you can't hear the knock in a 2 cycle. It will cause pits to burn in your piston.

pretty good saw too, I use the Stihl 2 cycle oil 50:1, friend has the 361, I've got a 390, we both use Stihl oils, seems to be worth doing.

When I mix up 1 gallon of fuel, I take some gasoline, swish the 2 cycle oil container clean with it, dump into the 1 gallon container, then always fill just shy of 1 gallon, mix well, seems to hold up well, and you know you got every drop of 2 cycle oil mixed in.
