Schwartz's trailers in Indiana???

Do any of you guys know anything about Schwartz's trailers in Noblesville, Indiana?? I don't kow if they are a manufacturer or just a sales place. But I'm looking at a used 2004 18 ft trailer, 6'10 wide. 2 5200lb dexter axles with brakes on both axles, made of tubular steel, $2100. Is the tubular steel that much stronger than angle iron or c channel? I'm guessing, but don't have any real experience with it. Here's a pic of the trailer. Looks weird with the single piece used for the trailer tongue. Seems a little high to me, but maybe this is a super high qaulity trailer? Anybody input or suggestions??? Thanks,

Casey

I grew up in Noblesville. They are not too far from the intersection of State Road 32 and State Road 19. Schwartz has been there as long as I can remember. (I'm 26.) They are sellers. Schwartz put a brake controller in my father's truck several years ago. They seemed pretty reasonable to deal with.

That looks like a nice trailer. You don't see many made with tubing. It would be stronger, and tubing doesn't twist like channel or angle, so it would pull real well. I think it was an expensive trailer when new- heavy fenders, gooseneck-style jack, heavy axles. Should make you a good one.

Went to school with Glen Lee from the 5th grade on.(Same class.} Could tell you a lot of stories.lol. He builds his own trailers right there in his shop. You can tell him,Bob gave you a good report.

Wheels are set back a bit more than normal. which is good, as long as you have enough truck to take the tongue weight.. I like wheels set to the back..

I know nothing of these trailers.

I do know that my trailer was tube construction and it rusted out. There was no place for the water to go once it got inside the tubes. I would prefer a Channel type frame.

I guess you're too young to remember, but that location sounds about like where the old Blue Ribbon Dairy stood back in the day.
