10 acres into the year and my big tractor decides to start leaking erl at the front crank seal.

'Spose I'd better stop and fix it 'cause we've got a long way to go yet. :>(

Good news is that the air conditioner still works great! :>)

I dunno Allen, If you don't fix that seal you'll need that A/C to cool you off every time you have ta stop every pass n throw in some more oil!

I'm in no big hurry. It's still plenty wet out there anyhoo. Just that I have a long way to go this year.

Also, have never experienced an IH tractor breaking down before. :>)

I know,

It leaked 2 quarts in as many hours this morning. Let alone, the mess it's making on my 40-year-old paint. :>)

Well Allen you haven't lived until you've experienced the fine mist of Hy-Tran fluid in the cab of a 4156 in the morning.:-< Even got in my morning coffee.

If I remember right, think it measures something like 27 and a half feet?

It's all that ol' boy wants too. Fact is, I had to turn the screw up on 'er to make it go in fourth gear.

From the looks of the mud buildup on those disc blades, you've got a couple of days to make the repair! 'Course, I always wait too long, until the dirt is dry enough to shine up whatever I'm pulling, so I don't end up with enough moisture to sprout the crop. d if ya do, d if you don't.
