Hope your corn is coming up and that it is dry enough to get in the fields to finish planting. I see the university campus camera has raindrops on it, but temps were in 70s.

Rain here. Can't cut hay. Tornado watch until 2 AM eastern.

Here in southern Mn. it is raining, about 3/10 so far. The corn is just coming up and finished the beans today. We haven't been getting all the rain some areas have been getting, so things got planted in nice fashion in this part of Mn.

Glad you are getting it done, Dave. I know you have problems with timing due to the short growing season. The theory for corn here is to plant early, maybe use an early maturing variety because usually there is a dry spell starting in July. Recently nothing has worked because of drouth, generally its been no irrigation, no corn and the dry spell starts earlier.

We're still waiting. We ussually don't get corn in until mid to late May in a normal year, so we're not worried yet.

I am slightly concerned that Dad won't be able to get into the field while I'm gone on vacation in 2 weeks, so when I get back we'll be going like hell to get the corn in, cut/chop/bag 1st crop, then plow under a couple feilds and put them in corn as well.

Just a normal year for us so far...

Finished corn on Tue.the 5th of May. Sprayed it and helped a wounded neighbor on Wed. and Thur.

Planted beans yesterday till a down pour of rain hit about 5.

The corn planted on the 23rd and 24th is up.

I need about 3 good days to finish the beans.

Sounds like you are on track. No tornado here last night. More storms forecast here today, so no hay cutting.
