Some of us that collect Farmall cubs had a small get together last week. Of the 8 or 10 trailers there we had 3 flats on the highway from bad valve stems, and then learned of this.

Sadly hilarious that the feds have forced new vehicles to have tire pressure monitors adding more cost to vehicles and then allow cheap Chinese valve stems and tires to flood the tire industry. Guess there was a motive to the pressure monitors aside from people smart enough to drive a car but not smart enough to maintain it.

A dealer put a bad set on my truck and i could not keep air in them. When i changed them i found germany written on them. The valves were too small to seal.

It's odd that you mention the TPMS man-dated on new vechicles. Have you priced the sensors by chance? Talk about sticker shock!! I had to buy 2 for my truck @ $100.00 each! My uncle is taking a local Goodyear dealer to court because they damaged 3 of his when they put new tires on his car. They tried to charge him for them on his bill. Lucky he was smart enough to walk out into the shop, grab one and take it to the Ford dealer. The service manager at the Ford dealer swears they were damaged when the tires were dismounted.
