buddy of mine is selling this 59 ford 801 powermaster, has a loader and 6 foot ford flail mower. asking 5500.00 for it. tractor runs good, everything works, could use some new brakes. i really dont need it, but then again.....do you think the price is in the ballpark, or is he a little high on it?

Seen one sell at auction, tractor only,IMHO the engine did not run great but it sold for 3500.00 Dan

Can't tell what transmission is in it, 4 speed 841? 5 speed 851? 5 speed with LPTO 861? SOS 871? SOS 881? That will make a big difference. Or is it an industrial version as those wheels have a heavy industrial tire on them instead of ag tires. Does it have power steering? No power steering or a 4 speed or SOS less dollars. I would guess that loader alone at $1,500-$2,000 price so unless it is a SOS I would guess about right.

Why all the money? Around here the tractor would be about 2-3000$ and the flail mower about 1000-1500. Loader would be worth 500$ tops off the tractor.

I have nothing on the value but just noticed the manual loader strapped to the lift arms. I know sometimes you need one but have never thought of adding one to the power loader.LOL

Wow, add that up and its 5000. you could probably walk away with it for that with cash in hand so he's not out of line

I think you would be able to see the SOS shifter, and you can see a power steering cylinder.

Sounds a bit high to me. When we got our 841 which has a very heavy duty loader on it we payed $3250 for it and that was with a 2 bottom plow also. The loader my tractor has makes that one look like a play toy by the way. I would say it is a tractor worth around $3500

Maby you can see a power steering cylinder but I can't, would assume that it has but cannot tell for sure and the part of the dash for a SOS control is hidden. Also cannot tell if front axle is standard or heavy duty. The rear wheels and tires are not ag but industrial, no width adjustment.
