OT/HSUS and Rush

I got the Michigan Cattlemens Assn newsletter yesterday. They claim that Rush Limbaugh has made two commercials for the Humane Society of the US. I haven't heard them,but they have to be parodies aren't they? Somebody must have taken them wrong. I can't imagine that he's taken sides with the "animal rights wackos". If he has,he's dead to me.

I don't like Rush, but he did it as a public service announcement, which means he didn't get paid for it. It was against dog fighting and general cruelty to animals. He did say he loved his cat "punky". After all, how many people are FOR dog fighting and idiots who torture animals?

I personally think that Rush is an overpaid blowhard who has never done a hard day's work in his life. But in all fairness, there is a HUGE difference between the Humane Society and wackos like peta.

You seem to be confusing HSUS and the American Humane Association. HSUS is a division of PETA which doesn't spend one single dime on the rescue or care of animals. They are LAWYERS for PETA,that's ALL!

HSUS is an animal rights group prenteding to be an animal welfare group.

Aside from other people's poltics & blowhard or not, different issue.

HSUS is a bad thing in & of itself, and should not be supported by anyone. HSUS is a fraud. It does not support animals to any degree; it is an anti-human group like any other animal rights group. Anti-people, anti-farmer, anti-hunting.

I was raised in rural farming country...I know how farmers think, I know what the 'salt of the Earth' folks believe.....because I am one of them.

Those core beliefs are not what is being espoused by the abundant left or by the majority of those who haunt these pages.

Greenie Fag...Save the Earth types........they'd be ran off a farm the minute they opened their insipid mouths. Farmers have been trying to kill bugs and vermin and weeds since day One, and the Greenie Fags are working overtime to stop them from doing so by banning fossil fuels, insecticides, herbicides, and rodent poisons. These Flower Children wish to save all the endangered mice and beetles and weeds and have convinced the ignorant masses that one drop of diesel fuel will penetrate 150 feet of stratified earth and poison the aquifer below. That is a reflection of the stupidity of the people and the audacity of the abundant left to push an agenda backed by junk science. That same group also thinks that anything that causes discomfort to a brute beast like a hog or a cow, should be a punishable offense. For the Left...human suffering is fine.....but plants and bugs and animals are off the list. That's how damned twisted these people are.

And that, is why, you will never find a kind word for the likes of Rush Limbaugh here. That is also why you will constantly see folks like myself heckled for speaking out against the agenda of the Left and the Greenie Fags.

You folks have gotten WAAAAAYY too serious about Mr. Limbaugh. Rush is an ENTERTAINER...just like the Hollywood leftists he rails against day after day.

Would you be surprised if one of the leftist whackos from Hollyweird supported the HSUS? Probably not. But Limbaugh is an entertainer, just like them, another overpaid entertainer, and therefore it shouldn't be surprising that his REAL values are a bit more reflective of those held by other entertainers...whose values, by virtue of their priveleged status, are far removed from the the values held by Americans who actually have to WORK for a living.

My friends, you have been taken in by an entertainer playing the ROLE of a conservative. Get a clue...Limbaugh doesn't get paid for actully BEING a conservative; he gets paid for ACTING LIKE a conservative for three hours a day, 5 days a week. Lord only knows what he does, and what he believes, the other 153 hours a week.

Did you see Rush was one of People magazine's "Entertianers" of the year. Or something like that. He was going on about it yesterday. To me that's about all he is, entertainment. Brings up some good points every now and then. The part I like is his "Almost always right 99% of the time" that is just like saying I'm "Almost always awake 99% of the time" almost always right is one heck of a description. But makes him happy and keeps the money rolling in, I just wish I could get away with working 15 hours a week and make millions. Makes this farming thing look bad.

Spook, you apparently don't know all about public service announcements. PSA's are AIRED for free by broadcasters, but it'n NOT true that the "talent," even "talent on loan from God," ALWAYS performs in these PSA's for free.

My guess is, Limbaugh either (a) got paid for his performance/appearance, or (b) will get to take a helathy tax deduction for the donated time and talent [based upon what he would normally be paid for such a performance], if it was donated.

But don't expect that Limbaugh gave anyone, even the HSUS, a TOTALLY free ride. That's not how capitalism works, and [love him or hate him] capitalism has never had a more ardent supporter than Mr.Limbaugh.

I fail to understand why anyone cares what Rush the Blowhard says or does. He proved himself to be a hypocrite by being addicted to oxycontin while railing against drug users. Isn't that enough?

I used to buy into all of his crap and support it till on national TV his apponent chalenged his facts. The one I remember best was Rush said Billy C stated in his pre election speaches he would do this or that. He then played a video of him saying just 360 different after election. The guy chalenging Rush then played the (whole) videos of wicked Willie. By honest Rush chopping up the video he presented some outstanding negative facts...but the whole video pointed out the truth.

We get lots of coments about the O-man not knowing crap, and must read it. Does anyone think ol Rush researches everything by himself? or does he perhaps have a staff member do it. While we are at it does any politician?

Call me a idiot, but Rush and ol GW changed my narrow minded farm boy opinion because I belived in what I heard, now I try to be a little more open minded, and hate both parties equal.

They both have some good ideas and minds, but it is never reflected in the White house. Anyone think that either party is the honest, hard working (for the best) for all the tax payers? They must pay back the folks that helped pay the way.

I don't think we should kill a man because of one statment like ol Rush made. On the other hand I don't think we should put down all the lazy folks in New Orleans because the TV found a pocket of lazy folks.

I make my living from alot of farmers, but many if not all are against government hand outs----YET..... EWG farm data base has alarming numbers. Just a few months ago a farmer friend was comenting on lazy folks hand outs---I grabed a EWG print out and asked him if the $700,000.00 he got handed to him was less than the welfare person he was complaining about. The welfare person he was complaining about gets less than $300.00 per month. (I help him with his tax work) Simple math says my welfare friend would get equal dollars in 194 years. My welfare friend passes out every couple of months for reasons the doctors don't know. There seems to be a drawback of finding cures if you have no health insurance. The farmer friend also said that my welfare friend was faking (passing out) so he could get disability--anyone here in EMS knows the two fastest ways to detect a pretender. And I have done both to him.

Any how as I see it one party taxes and spends, the other borrows and spends.

In the early 1990's I started listening to Rush during my lunch hours. He hammered the nnalert over the federal deficit, until the nnalert started passing budgets that reduced the deficits. Then during the GW Bush years, he suddenly was IN FAVOR of budget deficits, telling us that we'd apy them off in "fiat dollars," bucks that were worth way less when we pay them off than they were when we borrowed them.

It was at that point that I realized Rush Limbaugh was a fraud; a TRUE conservative would recognize that budget deficits are bad, no matter WHICH party was in power. But being in favor of budget deficits while claiming to be a conservative, like standing in a garage and claiming to be a Buick, don't necessarily make it so.

I've said this before, in the mid '90's Rush was against everything Clinton did. Except the trade deals. Rush insisted this would be a panacea for the U.S. He said, "we'll have a billion new consumers for our products" (that many Chinese). He said "we have to give the American people a choice" (between buying American made or mostly Chinese). He said "let them make typewriters, we'll build computers" (wrong again) Ross Perot said if we do the trade deal "there would be a giant sucking sound of jobs leaving our country". Rush made fun of him for that. Now we're deep in debt to the Chinese communists. I never hear Rush lament about that. Long ago I quit listening except for "samples" of his rants. My sister emailed recently to say Rush said our U.S. retired auto workers have some kind of utopian retirement with nearly the full pay of when they were working. Another big lie. He's about as entertaining as Tokoyo Rose. What's really ridiculous is he gets about a million a week for his hot air- while he criticizes everyone else.

Now as for Rush being an entertainer....that, he surely is. He entertains the Conservatives while the mass media blows smoke up the a$$es of the rest of the Herd.

I will give him his dues.....he has worked very hard to get where he is. Paul Harvey was a syndicated broadcaster...his venue entirely different....but he worked very hard to get where he was and what took a few minutes to say over the air, required many hours behind the scenes and a support staff of untold numbers.

As for Bill Clinton; it is apparent that many of you would be more than willing to pick up where Monica left off. He has become a cult figure for Liberals world-wide. The biggest mistake Bill made while in office was when asked if he had $ex with Ms. Lewinsky...he should have said, That is none of your business, and let it go at that. That would have been the end of the entire debacle. But, true to form, he chose instead, to lie. Lying is a way of life to politicians of every stripe. Bill was chief amongst them.

All I can tell you is,HSUS is one of those Greenie Fag organizations. I'd even go so far as to call them domestic terrorists. If Rush wants to take sides with them,he can die of festering boils and rot in hell.

I find it fascinating that people go nuts over Rush saying whatever he does and yet they never get a ruffled feather when journalists out and out lie about things. Limbaugh is an entertainer and commentator. Personally I get real tired of him real fast. Meanwhile no one bats an eye when the abundant Propaganda System- NBC,CBS,ABC,MSNBC,PBS,NPR,CNN,AP,Reuters,etc.- distorts the truth daily and we"re supposed to blindly accept it. They complain about Fox and conservative talk radio but they forget people watch and listen because they WANT to!

The nnalert never passed deficit reducing budgets in the 90's, that was the nnalert held House led by Newt Gingrich and his Contract with America. They had to pull slick Willey along kicking and screaming.

A smart conservative wanting the office in 2012 would run on a platform of serious cuts to the Federal government. Abolishing the Departments of Education, Commerce, Labor, Health, and most of the rest along with the EPA would be a good start. The power belongs in the States, not the Feds, or at least that's what the Constitution says. The individual States loan power to the Feds, and the Central government is meant to be subserviant to the States, not the other way around as it currently is.

tlak, I realize you're a self proclaimed abundant icon, but in all seriousness without opposing "news" sources all you're left with is the Gov't/politically correct version. The MSM gives the PC/abundant nnalert view, talk radio/Fox tends to give the nnalert (not necessarily conservative) view. Without both sides we'd just have half the story since the media is just another political entity anymore.

I told my wife, listen to Fox for a while. A year or so ago it was some what bias reasonable news. Then when it went with Hannity by himself and got the idiot Glenn Beck on there, it went totally stupid. My wife doesn't follow politics and she said she couldn't believe some of the stuff that was said on there.

I actually find Glenn Beck to be one of the better personalities out there these days. Hannity is a tool, true. Sounds to me like you're a lot more comfortable with MSNBC or one of the other mouthpieces for the abundant elite. If your mind is closed you'll never figure out the truth.
