Another sad day

Its a sad day here in Trenton Ontario as another brave female soldier will be brought home for repatriation today.She died while in Afghanastan serving for her country.She came from farm country and will be missed and never forgotten by the people of Canada who thank you for your service. God bless you.
 
We here in the USA sometimes forget about the other countries that are suffering losses of there loved ones also. Thank you for sharing this info. Her family will be remembered in my prayers.
 
Yes, may i add my condolences for another brave soldier!

I served in WW II, in France, with the 90th. Infantry Division, and lost many friends there!
And, yes, we do sometimes forget about other countries losses in war.

It is not only about remembering other countries losses, but to pay tribute to all who have fallen in their efforts to make this a better world.
Here in Canada we take special care to honour our soldiers, starting with the ramp service in Afghanistan, to the arrival at CFB Trenton, to the motorcade on the Highway of Heroes, to the service of nnalert in transporting the remains to their final resting place, to the funeral service.

Maybe Northener can post some pictures showing the tributes on the Highway of Heroes.

I had a good friend that died in 98 at the age of 91. He used to say that if all the money that is spent on wars would be spent to help people get along with each other, the world would be a better place. I think he was right. Sorry for your loss & God Bless.
