I have the oppurtunity to buy a John Deere RWA 11.2ft disc. But I'm not sure if my IH 574 gas tractor will pull it suffeciently.

Any one here know?

Should I look for a smaller disc?

Thanks for your replies.

I think it will handle it as they are not a heavy disc, But i will tell ya this run hightest gas in it and you should do fine you will be working that tractor hard and the reg gas of today burns way hotter then the gas of the day when that tractor was new . The high test (93 Octane ) burns LONGER AND COOLER and does well in gas tractors . I will put it to you this way 200 gallon of high test will cost ya .20 cent a gallon more then the 87 reg if you run 200 gallon thru that tractor it will cost ya 40 bucks more , you score the sleeves due to super high combustion temp in the cylinders and engine overhaul will cost ya way over two grand . you can burn a lot of gas before ya come up with the cost of and engine job.

It will pull it, but not well- you'll need to keep it up on the wheels so it won't go too deep. I think you'd be happier with a little smaller disk.
