I'm headed to South Dakota Friday morning to pick up an International KB 2. 1,000 miles one way from Ohio. It should feel right at home in the barn with the old A, the D and the Model A Ford & the KB 7. I'll use it to get to town while wife's at work. Anyone else have an old International truck?

How old is old?
I've got a 1950 International pickup. Stock 6 cyl engine. My daughter will be taking drivers ed this summer and I'll be using it to teach her to drive a stick.

I've got most of a '58 Golden Annaversary pickup out back. Love to restore it but physically unable to at this time. If a fellow has no dreams - what does he look foreward to??? :) good luck with your "new" toy

I had been wanting a good old Studebaker for a long time when I found this one really reasonable at a local farm sale.

It goes good with the old tractors around the place! :)

That is a real nice looking Studebaker. Looks good but not so nice you're afraid to use it once in the while.

Man that's cruel. Poor kid will have to learn to double clutch going up thru the gears and no power steering! I had an L 120 years ago, tough as nails. K models are my favorite.

That is a nice looking truck!! When I was a kid, the local Marathon Station had a '46 Studebaker pickup as their shop truck. I used to like to check it out as it was so different from everything else in those days. [50s]

Thank You and keep the faith that you will get to it sometime! At the very least, it's yours and close by!

Sure does! That's the first step. I sold a Model T Ford to come up with the cash for this one. The old Ford just needed EVERYTHING. I learned to drive in my Dad's K 2. I still have it, but Ohio's climate is not kind to anything left out doors. The ND truck is a 3 on the tree, like Dad's I'm looking forward to stepping on the starter of the old Green Diamond. Have'nt done that in years.

I have two 1 1/2 ton the one with the cab low like a pickup 1968 and 1969 cab and chassis I wanted to restore but may sell, one has a two speed axle

I have a 1949 KB-2, and a 1973 1210 pickup. Still working on both of them. We had a 1948 KB-5. We were all IHC people.

Love those old IH trucks! Back around 1951 (when I was but 10) the 6-1/2 mile dirt road past our farm was completely redesigned and replaced with blacktop. The contractor that did the job had a fleet of 3 IH Dump trucks. Two were the older D series and the biggest was a newer K series. You can just imagine the fun a ten year old had watching the dozers, graders, shovels and dump trucks working everyday. Thanks for the memories!

Yes, two Internationals:

I have a 1965 D1300 4x4 1-ton former logging truck with 10,000# winch and utility box. 392 engine & 5-speed. One tough truck.

A few years ago I bought an original 1971 model 1110 1/2 ton farm pickup for $600. 345 & 4-speed. I installed power steering and overhauled the brakes, and added a Pertronix electronic ignition setup in the distributor. Pep, power, and fuel economy increased by an estimated 20%. What a difference.

Am down to painting red a 1965 IH 1200 4x4 345 V-8, 5 speed manual IH trans with overdrive for 5th, power steering, custom steel 6 bolt wheels from Diamond Wheel, and 02 GM split seats. My son and I will drive and show it. I am 50 and learned to drive with a 66 1/2 ton 2WD 4 speed. I hated that truck at age 16 but mid life does things to a guy. Cannot wait to finish my time machine.

This is my 53/56 IHC L-160 got it from a neighbor for free. MY wife said he should have paid me to haul it away.
Someday if I live another 20 to 30 years I might get her running. Engine actually looks good and is free. Had to clean a rat nest out of the cab.
I would sell it if anyone was real interested.

First pickup I ever owned was a '46 K2-L [light GVW version of the K-2, or so I've been told]. Had the Green Diamond 214 flathead six and the [T-9 -??] 4-speed. We did an in-frame on the GRD[rings, replaced one piston that Dad dropped, and valve job including machining the seats...rod and main bearings were OK], and it was a reliable old brick. It would top out at 55 MPH and get 19 MPG while doing it [10 MPG in town]. But that transmission would hang between shifts sometimes; had to unscrew the cap, pull out the shift lever, align everything with a tapered punch, and then reinstall.

Right now I have a '51 L-112 8' bed with the original SD-220 and a 4-speed that I'm refurbishng "mostly" stock, and a '52 L-112 with a later BD-264 than's going to be my rod project...as soon as I can shake loose both the time and the money. Seems like when I've got plenty of one, I'm short on the other.

I'd give you what you got in it if you were closer. :)

The truck has a lot of potential, especially with the spare parts you have stacked & ready.

I've got a 1959 B100 stepside I should sell. I've had it since 1977. It has the V8 3 on the column. Just setting in my tool shed wasting time. I've thought about restoring it but probably just need to get rid of it. 270-345-2644 if someone wants to encourage me to sell it. I'd rate it a 6 - 7 out of 10.

My '51 L-120 set up for parade duty with IH LB engines mounted on the flatbed...

Hoping to someday get it to AZ, put the box back on and give it a more "proper" restoration... Unless I can get it sold for a reasonable amount...
