MTD Identification

I have an MTD 16 Hydrosatic tractor.

The manual says it is model 145-990A. How can I find out the year of it.

I purchased this tractor with the following:
Model 145-969A Snow Thrower Attachment
Model 194-962A Mowing Unit
Model 194-967A Rotary Tiller

I bought this complete package for $100.

The only thing I have done is replace the coil.
I have purchased all the parts to do a complete engine rebuild.
I will post picks once I get my sons jeep out of my garage and get room to work on this tractor.

If anyone could help me with the age the would be great.
Also, is there any place to get a sticker package for this tractor?

Get the engine number. It should be stamped in the metal shroud around the flywheel. MTD doesen't do a very good job of identifing their equiptment. You can usually identify the date from the engine.

call mtd costomer service @ 1-800-800-7310 sometimes the engine dates are 1 year behind

What make is the engine? Briggs or Tecumceh or ?
If Briggs , look around the spark plug for the engine info. 3 sets of numbers.

Found this site , they are good people with all sorts of information, I called on a product for a manual they don't have it just now but are checking on getting me one within 3 days they are a free web site and seem to want to please.
