Stuck my tractor!

It had to happen eventually. I was out moving some old stumps from a pile on my property to the back fence line saturday with my David Brown 880e and loader. I just finished up putting power steering on it and wanted to give it a workout. So I had maybe a 600 pound stump on the loader and went through an area where the neighbor used to have a large tub grinder to make mulch. I buried my tractor in about 2 feet of rotting mulch. I ended up taking the stump off the loader, rocking it back and forth and using the differential lock to get it out. I should probably have more weight on the back.

If you can get it out without hooking another tractor or vehicle to it you ain't stuck.:)~})

If you have a hydraulic dump bucket you can also use the bucket to push yourself back.

Here is stuck.:)~})

That's a good idea - using the bucket to push yourself back. I'll be sure and relay that to James.

Another gem of wisdom from this forum!

If that was stuck we'd get nowhere half the time around here! During august we still need 4wd to mow many of our fields.

Neighbours burried their big articuate last july going to pull out their big 4wd massey that was round baling. It was burried on a south facing hill of all places.

Yup A whole lot of Oh $41ts.

That was last spring, just this morning I went right thru the same spot with no problems.

Little dryer this year. So far anyway.
