I saw that on you tube. Very incredible voice.......It reminded me of opera a little.

I have watched that a bunch of times. I love watching the jaws drop when she starts to sing. She sure got shorted in the looks department but was given a pure sweet voice instead. If she had been born pretty with that voice she'd have been a star decades ago.
I checked out Elaine Paige (Susan's idol) singing the same song and I think Susan does the better job.

Really, she"s not that short in the looks department. She"s never been taught to work with what she"s got. I"m sure the big cosmetic firms are lining up for a make over.

I watched it and before she sang I saw how the people and the judges where laughing at her and it started to make me mad how people respond to first impressions. Then when she started to sing BOY DID THAT DROP SOME JAWS and make them look ( and I"m sure feel)stupid. GOOD FOR HER and she is GOOD ! Talk about the perfect under dog story, WOW !!! Made my day, thanks for sharing.

I've never heard this woman sing...but the description reminds me of Janis Joplin...uglier than homemade sin..but that chick could sing. At least Janis died young and ugly, instead of old and ugly.

THAT'S nuthin'!! Search 'youtube' for her doing 'Cry Me A River' on a charity CD about 10 years ago.....get a chance to listen to her without all that crowd noise!!!!
