well I hate to say it I actually didn't mind building fence for the last couple of days, it's been in the upper 60's hasn't been this nice in 6 months, I have a lot more fence to build so I'm sure before I'm done I will hate it again, has to be the worst farming chore there is. going to have a couple cold beers and relax,and I know I will not mind them either , have a good one!
 
I don't mind BUILDING new fence, looks nice when you're done, gives a sense of accomplishment, keeps the stock in, etc,etc. But FIXING some misbegotten conglomeration of old barb wire, rotted off posts, occasional boards, and for all I know old car bodies, brings out the absolute worst in me. Can you say "OFFENCEIVE" language. To top it off, this usually has to be done when the black flies are out, I'm not yet accustomed to the heat and sunshine, and the ground is still too wet to go where I need to with a tractor. There are several miles of fence here that really need to be bulldozed and replaced. But, I am happy to report, I don't do fences any more. All the pasture on the place is now used by the neighbors, and they take care of the fence. Oh yeah, but people still call me if there are cows in the road.
