Sandblasting rates

I have a 2N that I'm currently restoring. I'm considering taking the chassis in to a professional sandblasting shop to have it blasted. Can anyone here that has done this tell me a rough estimate of what you think it may cost?

I am restoreing a G Allis Chalmers and have a local man in my area (North Carolina) to blast some pieces of the tractor and he charges a flat rate of $75 an hour.

Trophyhunter,

$75 an hour sounds about right, I would get the chassis dipped that way there isn't any residual sand left in the housing to get into any bearings.

When I sandblast small gearboxes I always wash them out with warm soapy water and get it dried as soon as possible then primer them.

A professional Industrial sandblasting place
here in Western Wisconsin, charged me $25 to do 2
FJ-170 Jeep 16" wheels, sandblast,prime, paint.
They charged $40 to do 2 Wisconsin engine front
shrouds, and 3 flywheels, and 2 15" trailer wheels
sandblast and prime only. I"m very happy with
their work and prices.

How does the chemical dipping work? Can I have them dip the entire chassis and not worry about the chem strip eating the seals & getting into bad places?
