Wisconsin engine questions O/T

I have this old Wisconsin engine sitting on a large walk behind mower and thinking about getting it running again. It has on the engine plate Model AENL and size 3X3-1/4. Does any body have any idea what HP it might be and about how old it might be??

hp of 4.3 at 1500 rpm to 9.2 hp at 3600
dont know years.www.engine center.com or google wisconson aenl
 
My dad bought a new model AEN to build a garden tractor about 1950. So I'd guess the AENL is a few years younger.

Join the yahoo wisconsin group, those people are as handy about wisconsins as the people here; they will locate parts and give great knowledgeable advice. Helped me time an old VE4, firing order 1,3,4,2 on the plate but because of the crank layout the mag wires ended up 1324
 
A few of the early Melroe loaders used this same engine as a AENLD. D meant it had stelite valves.

Those loaders were made from 59 to 62. I know I have seen that model of engine that looks much later than the one that is on my Farmhand version of that loader.

Before you guys start to flame me the loader that I am talking about was the early one with the caster assembly on back. Not many know that those were availble with either the Onan that the model has or you could get it with this Wisconsin. There was also a Techemsuh option.

By the looks of it,the AENL was only built in 1957,it was built as a replacement for the AEN for more HP.
 
9.2 horsepower at 3600 RPM....but-
It will last longer if you keep the rpms at about
3000, where it's probably about 8 hp
