Quick Ford 3910 Question

I've been noticing that my '88 Ford 3910 has been spitting alot of coolant out of the overflow lately. It doesn't seem to be running hot, the gauge stays where it always is, until it runs low on coolant, then creeps upward. Think this might be as simple as a bad radiator cap? The rubber looks a little deteriorated.

Thanks,

You can hope, but I doubt it....
When it gets warm, carefully open the cap and have a look inside. Watch for bubbles, froth and blackning of the coolant.
I would suspect the head gasket myself.
