Long 460 value?

I know these "what is it worth" questions are very variable but....a Good friend of mine ask me what to ask for his Dad's tractor and I know nothing about these tractors and I have never seen it. It is a Long 460, has 400 +/- original hours, his Dad bought it new and maintained it and stored inside. Has a loader on it in good shape. Everything works good, was not really "farmed" with, probably just used as a utility tractor, good tires all around. What would be a good horseshoe pitch on value? Ebay had none like it and nothing really to compare to. TIA

I'm not sure of the value but I'm sure of one thing is that you won't find another one with that low of hours on it.

They're a nice collector tractor with good road speed for poker runs and parades.

$3500 would be a screaming bargain. At $5000- $6000, it would not be bargain priced but it would be difficult to find a better value for the money. The 400 hours might be misleading. The hour meter/tachometer is not reliable on those tractors. My 360 is now on the 4th such unit. None would continue to post operating hours for more than a year. The tach part is more reliable. Future availability of some new parts may be problematic. Farmtrac continued good parts support after Long folded. Now Montana tractors took over from Farmtrac.
