need doorlatch for92 gmc pickup.dealer price a little steep.anyone know of aftermarket supplier.don,t thinka usedone is what i want,

Unfortunately, there's a WORLD of difference in "fit and finish" and longevity between the aftermarket cheapy doorhandles and latches from "the land of almost right" and the OEM parts.

I've had a couple generic doorhandles I couldn't even use 'cause the were so poorly made the rods that operate them wouldn't stay in place.

Are you referring to the latch assembly or outer door handle? I have an outer handle (part # 1561924) for 1990 - 2002 chassis. I also have a couple of inner handles. The return spring usually breaks in them.

The trucks I service now are all 2003 and newer so I don't need these parts any more.

What Ineed is the mechinism behind the upholstry panelthat attachesfrom enter handle to latch that holds door closed.it is very worn and loose.
