Farmall Super A rear tires and lift link

I have a 51 Super A that has a rear rim size of 8 inches where the tire bead would sit and a total width edge to edge of 10 inches. Can I put a 11.2 tire on or only a 9.5? Thanks for any help. Tractor was in a fire and the tires completely burned. It was my grandpa's and I am restoring it with my son. Also, looking for the lift link that goes from the rear rockshaft to the front rockshaft arm on the left side. Thanks again.

The 11.2 might be a tad wide an look a little funny on it but you could use them to get by. The rims are just a tad to narrow to really work well for those tires. That is if your measuring them right

Thanks for your reply. I have not purchased any tires yet so I appreciate your advice. I did notice a Farmall 100 on ebay (item #320353462409) that has the 11.2 rear tires on it, but I don't know what size of rim he is running either.

If it measures 10 wide it is a 9in rim. The 9.5 mounts and looks good on an 8in rim. What size is the other rim and what is the tire size on that one. What are you using the tractor for do you need the traction if wanting a larger tire while remembering larger tire takes more power.

I double cheched the measurements last night. Where the tire bead would sit, it is 9 inches with a total rim width of 10 inches. Thanks for all the replies and advice.

I just bought a super A and it had the 11.2 x 24 tires on the rear and they look great . I like the oversized with tractor weights on them . The front came with 5.0 x 15 and they look good. I have not measured my rim but think its a 10 inch rim. Where did you find your tires and what kind are you putting on it?

Richard, thanks for your reply. I have not purchased any tires yet, but the size you have is what I am looking at. Farm and Fleet sells Firestones 4 ply with tubes in your size and also a local tire dealer too. Farm and Fleet is about $100 less though comparing the same. Miller's Tires has the reproduction original Firestones for the fronts. They have a center rib, but the edges look more like the lugs on a truck tire. More, but I may go that way.
