Electric start (24V) or pony start (12V)?

I have a good used 24V gen and regulator. (IF I can find them!)

12V on a starting engine will make the electricity leak out of the ignition coils.
It's either a 24V isolated generator. Or a 6V positive chassis generator.
Ken at Classic Generator will supply or build anything to suit.

The pony starts were 6 volt systems!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, you guys are right, I just dealt with a that a few months ago on a neighbor's 730 and should know better. (I posted here looking for some coils, and a fellow contacted me with a SUPER good deal on some genuine WICOs and quickly sent them. Worked GREAT.)

I shouldn't post in the AM before I have about 15 cups of coffee!
