have a 88 dodge pickup that was running bad and sometimes stopping. I think the ASR connections were corroded. Cleaned connection after a few backfires and flame in the throttle body. Now starts ok and runs good for 10 minutes. Seems to be flooding. Could the injectors be damaged from the backfire and heat? Can see a sray patteren and the butterfly plates are wet at idle. Is this normal?
Chiltons and Hayes manual aren't worth bringing home for these kind of problems. Need a factory manual. Or a site on the net that has some trouble shooting flow charts and detail like the factory manuals. Anyone know of a good site?

When the TBI injectors fire, they should have a defined cone that reaches down to the edge of the throttle blades. If the spray is falling on the blades directly, pretty good chance the fuel pressure is low.
