Please help! Tryin to find parts for IH 2300 series A built in Gt. Britain. I need a crank and connecting rod kit. Any suggestions other than selling for scrap?

seems to still be dealers in the UK. Have you tried that? Shipping may be a little pricey, but they may be able to cross reference and tell you what American parts to order.

What engine is in it? If it's the British BD144 or BD154, parts are easy to find here in the USA. I know the 2300 has the same rear/trans as the B275 and B414, but I'm not sure about what engine is in it.

It would be helpful if you knew what engine you had as jdemaris said.

Try www.chowntractorparts.com

They may be able to tell you what engine you have if you don"t know and they can get you parts.

Thanks for your help. The stamp on the engine is "BC144A". On the same stamp just below the engine number is "3206". I'm debating whether it would be wiser to replace the whole engine with a used one or repair this one.

If you rebuild it, you'll know exactly what you have...
