What i did this weekend

My first chance to reply to the old thread. I tried to unplug the pond drain that the beavers had plugged. The pond was about 2 feet above the drain. I get in the canoe and paddle out and quickly realize i need longer tools. I go get longer stuff and rush out onto the water again. All of a sudden i realize the wind is getting up and look around to see a small tornado in the pond with me. It was complete with water spout and all. Managed one stroke with the paddle when it hit me. Spun me around and pushed me onto the bank. Managed to only get partly wet and the drain is still plugged.

typical weekend around here, just figure you might get it unplugged sometime around june 16th and you'll be right on schedule!and in case you didnt notice, whatever you use is going to at least 2" too short so you may as well plan on getting wet!LOL!

you better be real extra carefull with that one.you know what happens when you pull the plug out of a sink full of water. i tried that once in a small boat almost got instantly sucked into the culvert luckily i had a buddy on the shore who helped me get away from the rushing water heading into the drain. very dangerous be carefull. RICK

The drain is 8"verticle and about 15 feet from shore. Normally only about 12 feet deep. The plug is down where the elbow is and hard to reach.
