ford jubilee questions

I just bought a ford jubilee, it has a 12v conversion on it but needed a new coil, I got a new set-up with external resistor but I'm not sure of the wiring, I have a lead from the switch and one from the distributor, HELP

Switch to one side of resistor
Other side of resistor to + coil
- coil to dist

thanks for your help! I'm "new" to this but I'm having a lot of fun with the tractor and learning

If you have not opened the parts yet and can return then (if bought local) you can get a coil from Napa part # IC14SB for less than $20 and it does not need the resistor. The resistor on this coil is built into the coil can and is all one piece.
