I have a Deutz that calls for GL4 SAE90 for the transmission. I can not find Sae90 GL4 anywhere. All I can find is GL4 140 or GL5 85/90. Will either one of these be a replacement for GL4 SAE 90. If not where might I find SAE 90 GL4? Thanks for any help!!!!

Many older cars use GL-4 SAE 90 in their transmissions. GL-4 is yellow metal safe
so you really want GL-4. Some GL-5 will work if it is yellow metal safe . Some GL-5 will work and some won"t. I would keep looking or check some old car sites to see who sells it.

Shell Spirax G is a GL4. Available in 80W, 80W/90, 90, and 140. Use that or equivilant. Do not use a GL5, it eats phosphor bronze.
