I am having some starting issues with my super WD-6. It starts as if the diesel isn't shutting off all the way. I know their are some adjustments on it but not sure where to start. It will eventually start but it takes a while. I know it is on diesel by the smoke that comes out the pipe when I try to start it. Any suggestions on where to get started on this project would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also have a WD-9 tractor with a new head -injectors- radiator and good tires. It has a hand clutch and I want to get rid of it. What is something like this worth! Thanks

Just a question. Have you been switching the tractor back to gasoline and letting it run a little while before shutting it off? Other then that the switching valve could be leaking. A bad oring or something.

first of all these engines dont need to be switched back to gas to shut em down. just idle, and shut em off. your probable cause is that the starting control mechanism may need adjustment.get your self a manual because it is quite detailed procedure. my WD9 has a mag. and i just start it with a hand crank.
