Soundgaurd Cab on JD 20 sereis tractors

Has anyone ever put a Soundgaurd cab on a JD 20 series tractor, I recently bought a30 series JD soundgaurd cab and want to put on JD 3020 tractor, does anyone have any pics or sugestions for installing one, even if it was a 4020 or similar. Thanks,Terry

You will have to wait until morning when buickddeere gets up he likes these kinds of challenges...especialy retrofits...

He can knock himself out. It's just more money and time to to make low end 4030 when he could have purchased a 4030 instead for less.
Hopefully his planning, mechanical and electrical skills are better than his spelling.
The 3020 doesn't have a continuous driven transmission hydraulic pump or a wet perm-clutch. It does have a four cylinder with a balancer system with hard to find parts.

You need to get ahold of Jdbert on here. He did it to a 72 4320 and i think from the looks of it his turned out pretty good. There are pictures of it in the tractor photo section the link is to one of them.
Jdberts 4320

I missed the part where you said 3020 and somebody correct me if I am wrong but arent there two sizes of sound guard cabs for the 4XXX tractors and 2XXX tractors. If so in that case you may be better off to look for a cab off a 2XXX tractor if they are smaller.

The factory cabs for the 20 series didn't have roll over protection, and accumulated dust and noise in profusion. Safe they weren't. So if the Soundguard cab is anchored well, it has a good chance of being safer.

Its a big task to install and its likely to be compromised for sound and dirt intrusion.

The JD Rollguard cabs, built by Hinson and used on the 20 series, were ROPS cabs weren't they? They have a roll bar attached to the axel housings in the back of the cab.

(quoted from post at 11:36:55 03/22/09) So it's wrong to help the guy by warning him he's beating his head against the wall for nothing?

Maybe it was your wonderful choice of words and the "who's he think he is" attitude dripping from your response.........

Just a guess....

What are you going to bolt the four rops mounts to that is rated to take roll over stress?
Are you going make it look and work like a factory installation? Or just kinda drop it on there with gaps and non working accessories??
