I'm not sure. Not much description for the pump. They have some online calculators at surpluscenter.com that might help.

Sounds like the old Gresen Vane pump. What size pulleys are you using in other words at what RPM do you intend to run the engine when using the pump? What is the casting number on the valve? Most of those model 300 or 400 valves or the older ones they replaced had several options on springs and pressure settings. What do you intend to run with the pump? Remember rule of thumb is it takes 1 horsepower for each one gallon of pump output at a pressure of 1500 PSI. I will need to get my old Gresen books out to see but there were different sizes of those model pumps. Confused? J.

Those Gresen vane pumps were rated at 1200 RPM
The 12 on yours indicates 12 gals per minute at
1200 RPM. Maximum RPM is 1800, at which speed
output would be 18 gpm. Maximum pressure is
1500 PSI. It won't start pumping until 500 RPM,
as it needs to get up to speed to throw the
vanes out and start grabbing a bite of oil. It
can be mechanically reversed by taking it apart
and reversing the ring and vanes, but you better
know what you're doing if you try that.
these pumps were commenly mounted on the front
of tractors, to get hydraulics for loaders or
hydraulic accessories,(such as early Fords, etc.)
and connected to the front crankshaft--kits were
made to connect them. They were also used in
small, single axle dump trucks and run off of an
Auxillary PTO bolted to the transmission.
Run it off of a Garden Tractor?? I'm doubtful,
but if you try use double belts of you'll have
a slippage problem

Okay, I'm new to this forum! I'm only the messenger, but my father-in-law has a IH/Farmall "Honey Bee" tractor. He needs a rebuild kit or paarts for the Gresen Model TB12 cc serial K3 hydraulics pump. We are needing the carbon seal or ring. I noticed you mentioned you had the gresen books, so I am hoping you can help! Thanks
